What is the direct answer?
On OpenAI's official subscription, cancelling stops future renewals and your paid access continues until the end of the current period. Refunds are the exception rather than the rule, and are usually limited to billing mistakes. For a third-party direct top-up, the relevant policy is the provider's own: ours refunds in full when we cannot complete the top-up, and does not refund a completed month.

Cancelling vs refunding
Cancelling is a switch; refunding is money coming back. They are separate processes.
- Cancellation: stops the next renewal, access continues to the paid period's end.
- Refund: reverses a charge, usually only for duplicate or erroneous billing.
- Chargeback: a bank dispute — use it last, as it can freeze the account.
What our refund rule is
Full refund if the top-up cannot be completed; no refund once a month has been delivered.
Direct top-ups are delivered by hand, so occasionally an account cannot be upgraded — for example, an unsupported account state. In that case we cancel the order and refund it in full through Stripe, typically within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
Once a plan month has been applied to your account, the service has been consumed. That month is not refundable, which is why we confirm the account email before processing.
How to raise an issue
Send the order number, email and a masked screenshot; keep credentials out of the message.
